Author, Editor, Media Tie-In Writer

Convention Season

I have a new sale I can talk about! I’ve just signed a contract for my short story, “The Price of Family,” for the second Mercedes Lackey anthology for her Elemental Masters series. It was a hard story to end. I had two perfectly appropriate endings. Had to talk it out with editor, John Helfers, on which one was better.

Convention season is upon me. Three conventions in four weeks. It’s going to get interesting. At this point, I’m scheduled only editing until after GenCon.

I met Richard at his Colonial Gothic booth during a GenCon a few years back. The name caught me, the RPG kept me, and then Richard hired me to write for him. I’ve been working off and on for Colonial Gothic ever since. My newest book with them is Colonial Gothic: Locations. I think this is a really interesting RPG and that’s why I’m pleased to present this special 12-12-12 edition of Tell Me. —It was a sunny, warm September day (9/7/2011 for those keeping score), when I posted the following on the Rogue Games’ website: You are not ready. The countdown has begun, and the Rogue of Rogues Games are plotting. For some, it might be an end, but for us, it is only the beginning. Grab your dice and get ready. This was the last I said anything, and in secret I continued working on a project that...

Here’s the back cover copy for CHILDREN OF ANU. This book will be released on 1 June 2013. I will be reading at the University Bookstore on 27 June with Kat Richardson and Lily Cohen-Moore. I know the post says it will be at the temple. That’s wrong. It will be in the Bookstore. I have now officially signed a contract to write a Shadowrun novella! Tentatively called “A Day in the Life of a Lifesaver.” It will be about Doc Wagon 19. That unexpected job interview from last week? I got the contract. I’ll be onsite doing a short term contract writing / editing for an awesome RPG company. More details when (if) I’m allowed. Mena is fine and frisky. She’s on meds to help her ear. Her one month check up is on Friday.
